Job Description

Join Amazon's Customs and Trade (ACT) Cross Border team in revolutionizing international logistics for our customers. We're seeking an experienced compliance professional to lead risk management initiatives across Europe and the United Kingdom. This role focuses on developing and implementing customs compliance strategies, working collaboratively with global teams to ensure seamless cross-border operations. The position offers an opportunity to shape the future of international trade compliance while supporting Amazon's customer-centric mission.

Key job responsibilities
This role within Amazon Customs and Trade (ACT)’s Customs Brokerage organization will:
• Lead risk assessment and mitigation strategies for customs operations across EU and UK markets • Collaborate with regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders to resolve compliance challenges
• Develop and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency
• Conduct compliance audits and provide recommendations for process optimization
• Partner with cross-functional teams to establish and maintain compliance standards

About the team
The Amazon Customs and Trade team provides comprehensive international transportation solutions for a diverse customer base. Our team works collaboratively to create innovative solutions for complex global trade challenges.- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience in compliance, audit or risk management
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level
- Previous experience of customs brokerage and EU/UK customs compliance- Master's degree or equivalent
- Experience leveraging technology and implementing lean principles / Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements or equivalent
- Experience engaging with customs authorities in Netherlands, UK, or other global locations
