SpaceX is seeking a Thermal Hardware Specialist to oversee tile production, casting, and leaching operations. You'll ensure efficient processes and high-quality output while analyzing system performance. This role requires experience in hardware systems and operations.
You have a strong background in hardware engineering, particularly in production systems, with a focus on casting and leaching operations. Your experience includes monitoring system performance and ensuring optimal conditions for high-quality output. You are skilled in training staff and developing processes that enhance efficiency and reliability in production environments. You understand the importance of hardware, sensors, fluid systems, and controls in manufacturing processes, and you are adept at analyzing trends to propose improvements. You are a proactive communicator, bridging the gap between supervisors and technicians to ensure smooth operations.
Experience with thermal systems or aerospace manufacturing is a plus. Familiarity with quality assurance processes and standards will help you excel in this role. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can adapt to changing priorities while maintaining a focus on safety and quality.
In this role, you will lead training sessions for technicians, ensuring they are qualified to monitor fiber delivery and casting operations. You will oversee the fiber delivery system and casting processes, ensuring that all materials and chemicals are handled correctly. Your responsibilities will include analyzing system performance trends and proposing regular inspections and tests to maintain system health. You will develop and implement systems and processes that empower technicians to operate effectively and safely. Additionally, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive improvements in production quality and efficiency.
