Finance Machine Learning Engineer - Tech Lead

Who you are

You have at least 8 years of experience in an engineering role, with a proven track record of leading engineers and collaborating cross-functionally. Your ability to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences and convert ideas into solutions with a strong understanding of processes and data is essential. You are experienced in building data models and scalable pipelines using SQL and big data technologies, demonstrating expertise in data ops best practices. Your analytical thinking and problem-solving skills allow you to thrive in complex environments, and you are passionate about instilling strong engineering practices into machine learning processes.

Desirable

Experience with operationalizing AI solutions and bridging the gap between prototype and production is a plus. Familiarity with finance-related data and processes will help you excel in this role, as will any experience in leading multi-discipline engineering teams.

What you'll do

As the technical lead for product cost, you will support Apple's Operations Finance organization by building the data foundations, services, and platforms necessary for delivering insights and automating decisions. You will work closely with a multi-discipline engineering pod that includes data and software engineers, product managers, and program managers. Your role will involve operationalizing AI solutions, ensuring that they deliver value rapidly and reliably to the Finance organization. You will be responsible for leading the engineering team, fostering collaboration, and ensuring that best practices are followed throughout the development process.

You will also engage in continuous learning about business processes to enhance your contributions to the team. Your leadership will be critical in guiding the team through complex challenges, ensuring that the solutions developed are scalable and effective. You will be expected to mentor junior engineers, helping them grow their skills and understanding of machine learning applications in finance.
