You have a strong background in software engineering, with experience in building and maintaining critical infrastructure systems — your expertise in Java and Python allows you to write well-designed, testable code that meets high-quality standards. You understand the importance of network connectivity and telemetry in the context of autonomous vehicles, and you are passionate about contributing to the advancement of self-driving technology.
You are skilled in cloud technologies, particularly AWS, and have experience with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes — you thrive in environments where you can optimize performance and improve system reliability. You are adept at managing project priorities and deadlines, ensuring that deliverables are met both individually and in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
You have a keen analytical mindset, capable of defining and tracking KPIs to measure the performance of release systems — your ability to propose and implement optimizations demonstrates your commitment to efficiency and cost-effectiveness. You are also familiar with developing test and validation programs to ensure the robustness of software updates.
Experience with over-the-air (OTA) updates and release management is a plus, as is familiarity with telemetry systems and data analytics. You are a team player who values inclusion and psychological safety, contributing positively to the team culture.
In this role, you will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software for mission-critical systems related to release infrastructure and OTA updates — your work will directly impact the scalability and reliability of Nuro's autonomous vehicle technology. You will collaborate with engineers across the cloud and robotics teams to build efficient systems that support fleet connectivity and software updates.
You will manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables, ensuring that your contributions align with the overall goals of the team — your ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional partners will be essential in driving projects forward. You will also be responsible for tracking and improving the performance of the release system, defining KPIs, and proposing optimizations to enhance build processes.
Your role will involve writing well-structured code that adheres to Nuro's code quality standards, and you will participate in code reviews to maintain high standards across the team. You will also develop test and validation programs to ensure that software updates are reliable and effective, contributing to the overall success of Nuro's mission to make autonomy accessible to all.
Nuro offers a collaborative work environment where innovation is encouraged, and employees are empowered to contribute to meaningful projects — you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in the autonomous vehicle space.
