Affirm is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to enhance the reliability of their cloud infrastructure. You'll work with Kubernetes and automation tools to ensure a robust environment for engineering teams. This role is fully remote based in Spain.
You have 5+ years of experience in site reliability engineering or cloud engineering, with a strong focus on building and maintaining scalable cloud environments. Your expertise in Kubernetes is complemented by a solid understanding of automation practices that enhance operational efficiency. You thrive in remote settings and enjoy collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive initiatives that improve system reliability and observability.
You are proactive and detail-oriented, with a knack for identifying potential issues before they escalate. Your experience includes implementing best-in-class practices for cloud infrastructure, ensuring that systems are not only reliable but also efficient and cost-effective. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about leveraging technology to solve complex problems.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP is a plus, as is familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code practices. You have a strong foundation in scripting languages and are adept at using monitoring tools to ensure system health and performance. Your ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders makes you a valuable team member.
In this role, you will be responsible for executing the technical strategy for the Cloud Compute team, focusing on enhancing the reliability and scalability of Affirm's cloud infrastructure. You will collaborate with engineering teams to ensure seamless deployment of applications and services, driving initiatives that improve observability and operational workflows.
You will play a key role in managing Kubernetes clusters, ensuring they are optimized for performance and reliability. Your work will involve automating operational tasks to reduce manual intervention and improve efficiency. You will also be instrumental in developing and implementing monitoring solutions that provide insights into system performance and reliability.
As part of a tight-knit team, you will contribute to a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
