Strategic Sourcing Manager

Who you are

You have a strong background in strategic sourcing and procurement, with at least 5 years of experience in managing supplier relationships and contract negotiations. You excel at building relationships with stakeholders to understand their objectives and requirements, acting as a trusted advisor in evaluating proposed spend against strategic company goals. Your analytical skills enable you to conduct market assessments and spend analyses effectively, identifying opportunities for cost optimization. You are adept at managing professional services spend categories and have a proven track record of delivering on cost savings and spend under management. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional partners such as Legal and Finance to ensure alignment with company objectives. You are detail-oriented and possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to negotiate contracts effectively and manage supplier performance.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead strategic sourcing projects from end to end for assigned spend categories, which includes conducting market assessments and spend analyses to identify opportunities for cost optimization. You will be responsible for supplier sourcing through RFx processes and will negotiate contracts to ensure the best value for Discord. Building strong relationships with stakeholders will be key, as you will need to understand their objectives and requirements to deliver on company goals for cost savings. You will also manage supplier performance, ensuring that suppliers meet business requirements and growth objectives. Your role will involve executing a roadmap of impactful projects that align with the company's strategic objectives, and you will collaborate closely with various teams to achieve these goals. You will report to the Head of Procurement and contribute to the overall success of the Procurement Team.
