Overview

Samsara is seeking a Senior Manager for Procure-to-Pay to lead the strategy and execution of global spend management. This role involves overseeing Procurement and Accounts Payable to build a scalable P2P ecosystem. Experience in procurement and accounts payable management is essential.

Who you are

You have extensive experience in procurement and accounts payable management, ideally with a focus on developing and implementing strategies that enhance efficiency and effectiveness in spend management. Your leadership skills enable you to guide cross-functional teams towards achieving unified procurement goals, ensuring that all purchasing and payment processes are streamlined and aligned with the company's growth objectives.

You are adept at analyzing spend data and identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements. Your strategic mindset allows you to foresee challenges and proactively develop solutions that support the organization’s financial health. You understand the importance of building strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders, fostering collaboration to drive value.

Your communication skills are exceptional, enabling you to convey complex information clearly and effectively to various audiences. You are comfortable presenting to senior leadership and advocating for necessary changes to enhance the procure-to-pay process. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are committed to continuous improvement, always seeking ways to optimize operations.

Desirable

Experience with technology solutions that support procurement and accounts payable processes is a plus. Familiarity with ERP systems and spend management tools will help you excel in this role. You are also open to learning new technologies that can enhance the efficiency of the procurement function.

What you'll do

As the Senior Manager of Procure-to-Pay, you will be responsible for leading the strategy and execution of the global spend management process. This includes overseeing both Procurement and Accounts Payable functions, ensuring that they operate cohesively to support the company's rapid growth. You will develop and implement best practices that enhance the efficiency of the procure-to-pay cycle, from sourcing to payment.

You will lead a multi-functional team, providing guidance and support to ensure that all team members are aligned with the organization's objectives. Your role will involve analyzing spend data to identify trends and opportunities for cost savings, as well as developing strategies to negotiate better terms with suppliers.
