SpaceX is hiring an RF Hardware Reliability Engineer for the Starshield team to ensure hardware reliability through all aspects of its life cycle. You'll work on hardware bring-up, characterization, and qualification testing. This role requires expertise in hardware engineering and reliability testing.
You have a strong background in hardware engineering with a focus on reliability — your experience includes hardware bring-up, characterization, and qualification testing, ensuring that products meet stringent reliability standards. You thrive in fast-paced environments and are comfortable tackling previously unsolved problems with innovative solutions. You possess excellent problem-solving skills and can think at a system level, collaborating effectively with cross-disciplinary teams to drive improvements in product design and processes.
You are detail-oriented and take extreme ownership of your work — you understand the importance of rigorous testing and validation in the hardware lifecycle, from production to orbit. Your ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly makes you a valuable team member, as you work closely with engineers from various disciplines to ensure the success of the Starshield program. You are adaptable and eager to learn, always looking for ways to enhance your skills and contribute to the team's success.
Experience with RF systems or satellite technology is a plus, as is familiarity with national security applications. A background in aerospace or defense industries would be beneficial, as you will be working on projects that support government initiatives. You are passionate about space exploration and are motivated by the mission of enabling human life on Mars.
As an RF Hardware Reliability Engineer on the Starshield team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability of hardware throughout its lifecycle. You will conduct detailed hardware bring-up and characterization, performing qualification testing to validate designs against rigorous standards. Your role will involve driving improvements to existing processes and controls, ensuring that all hardware meets the necessary reliability requirements before deployment.
