Xometry is seeking a Supplier Development Engineer to enhance relationships with manufacturing partners and optimize supplier performance. This role requires strong communication skills and experience in supplier engagement.
You have a strong background in supplier development and engagement, with a focus on building trust-based relationships with manufacturing partners. Your experience includes coaching partners on industry best practices related to documentation, finishing processes, and quality assurance. You are adept at managing risk and ensuring partners are prepared for complex, high-stakes projects, particularly in regulated industries such as aerospace, defense, and medical. You understand the importance of optimizing supplier performance and are motivated to facilitate partner success in navigating the Xometry platform.
In this role, you will be responsible for production partner development, acting as a bridge between internal Technical sales & Sourcing teams and external supplier networks. You will engage with new supplier partners onboarded for production programs, ensuring they are equipped to meet customer needs effectively. Your responsibilities will include building and maintaining strong relationships with a diverse network of manufacturing partners to increase their engagement and capacity. You will coach partners on best practices and support their readiness for complex programs. Additionally, you will manage risk and optimize supplier performance to ensure successful project outcomes.
