What you'll do

As an Engineering Operations Technician at Amazon, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the heartbeat of our data centers. You will be responsible for operating and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical equipment, including stand-by diesel generators, three-phase electrical systems, and cooling systems. Your work will directly contribute to maintaining an extraordinary 99.999% uptime, ensuring that our customers have continual access to the services they rely on. You will collaborate with a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers to support all AWS data centers and the associated infrastructure. You will engage in hands-on troubleshooting, performing routine maintenance, and responding to equipment failures to minimize downtime. Your role will involve monitoring systems, documenting issues, and implementing solutions to enhance operational efficiency. You will also participate in training and development opportunities to expand your technical knowledge and skills.
