Esri is seeking a Senior Lead Accountant to join their Corporate Accounting team. You will ensure compliance with local GAAP and support external audits while collaborating with the Finance team for accurate financial reporting. This role is based in Redlands, CA.
You have extensive experience in accounting, particularly in ensuring compliance with local GAAP, laws, and regulations. Your background includes supporting external audits and collaborating with finance teams to provide accurate financial reporting and analysis. You are detail-oriented and have a strong understanding of financial statements and reporting processes. You thrive in a team environment and enjoy working closely with various business partners across the organization. Your ability to communicate complex accounting issues clearly is one of your strengths, allowing you to effectively support operational areas that impact domestic accounting activities.
Experience with financial reporting and analysis in a corporate setting is a plus. Familiarity with accounting policies and procedures will help you excel in this role. You may also have experience in developing and maintaining best practices in accounting, which will be beneficial as you support the month and year-end close processes.
In this role, you will support the month and year-end close process for all domestic entities, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial statements. You will conduct monthly close functions, including reviewing and posting general ledger entries and monthly reconciliations. Your responsibilities will also include ensuring quality control over financial transactions and reporting, as well as developing and maintaining accounting policies and procedures. You will interact closely with the FP&A team to communicate transactions that impact results and forecasts, contributing to short-range outlooks and annual planning processes. Additionally, you will support operational areas such as Accounts Payable and Assets, ensuring that all accounting activities align with best practices and compliance requirements.
