You have a strong background in systems engineering with experience in automation and operations — you've successfully managed complex systems and understand the intricacies of high-availability services. Your expertise in AWS services, including EC2 and S3, allows you to effectively contribute to the development and management of cloud solutions tailored for EU customers. You are a proactive problem solver who thrives in collaborative environments, working closely with global teams to deliver exceptional results. You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to influence the evolution of AWS services and technology effectively. You are committed to continuous learning and improvement, always seeking to enhance your technical skills and knowledge in cloud computing. What you'll do

In this role, you will oversee the launch of the European Sovereign Cloud (ESC) in 2025, collaborating with various AWS teams to ensure a successful rollout. You will play a pivotal role in building and leading operations and development teams dedicated to delivering high-availability AWS services. Your responsibilities will include engaging with AWS customers to provide specialized security solutions for their cloud services. You will influence the evolution of AWS services and technology, ensuring they meet the needs of EU customers. You will also support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, IoT, Platform, and Productivity Apps services within AWS. Your day-to-day tasks will involve coordinating with global teams, managing project timelines, and ensuring that the services delivered are of the highest quality. You will be instrumental in driving innovation and product development within the AWS ecosystem, contributing to the overall success of the European Sovereign Cloud initiative.
