Amazon is hiring a Controls Technician to support the installation and maintenance of Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) in data centers. You'll work with electrical and mechanical systems, requiring a technical background in controls and automation.
You have a technical background and experience in installation, troubleshooting, operations, and maintenance of field sensors, controllers, wiring, networking, and programming associated with industrial controls systems. You are passionate about customer experience and have the ability to contribute to major innovations in building controls and automation. You may also have relevant experience operating and maintaining mission-critical electrical and mechanical systems. As a Controls Technician, you will be responsible for participating in the installation, testing, troubleshooting, and startup of equipment and controls systems associated with BMS and EPMS system deployment in data centers. You are expected to actively innovate on behalf of your customers in the area of data center building automation.
In this role, you will primarily work in and support multiple data centers by deploying, servicing, and upgrading BMS and EPMS systems. You will mentor and train facilities team members on the operation and control of the BMS and EPMS systems. Additionally, you will audit, maintain, and manage computer enterprise asset management systems for BMS and EPMS installations. You will manage small to medium-sized projects, ensuring that all installations meet the required standards and specifications. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of systems and processes. You will also be responsible for documenting processes and procedures related to the installation and maintenance of controls systems, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards. You will engage in continuous learning and development to stay updated with the latest technologies and best practices in building automation.
