General Manager, Redis-Valkey Ecosystem

You’re a business-savvy technologist who lives and breathes databases and open source. You get how modern developers think, and you know the real-world pain of running databases at scale. Experience with Redis-compatible databases is a strong plus.

You’re a self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset who practices extreme ownership. You don’t wait for direction, you make things happen, find solutions, and never make excuses.

You’re comfortable owning big goals, budgets, and outcomes. You know how to build bridges across teams, align stakeholders, and get things done inside a larger organization without losing speed or focus.

You’ll lead a small but mighty team that scales with the business. Together, you’ll deliver customer success through 24/7 support, managed services, and professional services, while also contributing to open source and building Percona-maintained software to create an outstanding customer experience. Your team will drive thought leadership, technical marketing, and partnerships with other open-source projects and companies shaping the Redis ecosystem.

You’ll partner closely with Percona’s Sales and Customer Success teams to uncover every Redis - Valkey opportunity, driving new business, renewals, and expansions while ensuring no potential customer is left behind.

What You’ll Do

• Ownership of all functions supporting the In-Memory Database business at Percona, including Go To Market, Service Delivery, and Product Engineering efforts.

• Drive growth of the In-Memory Database services revenue within Percona, including forecasting and coordination of lead generation

• Ensure that Percona’s market positioning of our In-Memory Database software offerings is recognized as a viable alternative to open-core or proprietary alternatives, including driving software product feedback and requirements for the software product roadmap.

• Ensure technical experience and knowledge for Percona’s In-Memory Database technologies remain at a high level, driving an ongoing commitment to delivering the highest quality service to Percona customers.

• Work with stakeholders across Percona to ensure all functions deliver value equivalent to other business units in Percona, collaborating where needed to ensure consistency for our customers and internally

• Customer advocacy - building relationships with key Percona customers, including onsite meetings

• Drives and executes the Go To Market and Community strategies for the associated technologies

• Ensure world-class Service and Engineering delivery, based on industry best practices

• Conference talks and participation are mandatory

What We’re Looking For

• Five or more years of experience with Redis/Valkey and related technologies is mandatory. Experience with other In-Memory database technologies is a bonus.

• Proven experience building and scaling open-source or SaaS businesses

• Demonstrated success leading P&L or general management roles

• Strategic thinker with the ability to execute on tactical initiatives

• Deep understanding of developer-led growth models and enterprise adoption paths

• Recognized as a Community contributor or thought leader in the In-Memory Database ecosystem

• Strong work ethic and entrepreneurial approach

• Communicates clearly and professionally, maintaining confidence under pressure, and is fluent in written and verbal English

• Ability to work remotely and travel up to 25%

• Experience in open-source software sales or business development is desirable but not required

• Achievement of bookings, revenue, and margin targets

• Increased community engagement and ecosystem contributions

• Delivery of software products that provide value to the Percona community and subscribers
