Staff iOS Engineer (They/She/He)

Who you are

You have extensive experience in mobile engineering, particularly with iOS development, and are well-versed in Swift and SwiftUI. Your background includes leading technical initiatives and mentoring junior engineers, making you a technical reference within your team. You understand the importance of architectural decisions and can advocate for coherent strategies and best practices across squads. You are comfortable collaborating with product, design, and data teams to translate user problems into effective technical solutions. You have a strong grasp of the latest Apple standards and are eager to evolve applications from MVVM+C to modern frameworks like SwiftUI and Combine.

You are skilled in quality assurance practices, including automated UI and unit testing, and have experience with A/B testing to optimize user experiences. Your ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams ensures that you can contribute to design and UX decisions that enhance the overall product. You are passionate about creating seamless user experiences and are dedicated to continuous improvement in your work.

Desirable

Experience with complex systems such as order dispatching and payment processing is a plus. Familiarity with user acquisition flows and fraud mitigation strategies will help you excel in this role. What you'll do

In this role, you will take part in every stage of the feature delivery process, from discovery and design to implementation and testing. You will lead the architectural decisions for multiple complex solutions within the iOS domain, ensuring that they align with the overall strategy of the organization. Your responsibilities will include updating the app to meet the latest Apple standards, evolving from traditional frameworks to modern approaches that enhance performance and user engagement.

You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and data analysts to deeply understand user needs and translate them into actionable technical requirements. Your role will involve mentoring other engineers, helping them grow their skills, and fostering a culture of technical excellence within the team. You will also contribute to quality assurance efforts, ensuring that the app meets high standards of reliability and performance.

As part of your responsibilities, you will engage in A/B testing to evaluate the effectiveness of new features and enhancements, using data-driven insights to inform your decisions. You will be expected to stay current with industry trends and best practices, continuously seeking opportunities to improve the app and the development process.
