Overview

SpaceX is hiring an Equipment Reliability Engineer for the Starlink project to manage asset reliability risks and maximize system uptime. This role requires expertise in reliability engineering and a strong understanding of production systems.

Who you are

You have a background in reliability engineering with experience in identifying and managing asset reliability risks that could adversely affect factory or business operations. You understand the importance of maximizing asset and system uptime and have a proven track record of implementing plans to minimize production losses and unpredictable asset behavior. You are detail-oriented and possess strong analytical skills, allowing you to assess complex systems and identify areas for improvement. You thrive in fast-paced environments and are comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive engineering solutions.

Desirable

Experience in the aerospace or satellite industry is a plus, as is familiarity with advanced manufacturing processes. You have a proactive approach to problem-solving and are skilled in using data to inform your decisions. A background in mechanical or electrical engineering will be beneficial in this role, as will any experience with reliability testing methodologies.

What you'll do

As an Equipment Reliability Engineer at SpaceX, you will be responsible for identifying and managing risks associated with equipment reliability in the Starlink production environment. You will work closely with engineering teams to design and implement reliability strategies that ensure maximum uptime of production systems.
