You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, particularly in building scalable systems for financial applications — you've successfully designed and implemented complex architectures that support high-frequency trading and data analysis. Your expertise in Java and Python allows you to write efficient, maintainable code that meets the demands of a fast-paced trading environment.

You are well-versed in containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes — you understand how to deploy applications in a cloud environment, ensuring high availability and performance. Your experience with AWS has equipped you with the skills to leverage cloud services effectively, optimizing costs while maintaining robust infrastructure.

Your background includes working with databases such as PostgreSQL, where you have implemented efficient data storage solutions and optimized query performance — you know how to handle large datasets and ensure data integrity in a trading context. You are also familiar with REST APIs and microservices architecture, which allows you to build modular applications that can scale seamlessly.

What you'll do

As a Senior/Staff Software Engineer at OKX, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the Liquidity Platform, which provides essential technology for crypto trading — you will work on building low-latency connectivity to global crypto venues, ensuring that our trading systems operate at peak performance. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement automated trading strategies that leverage real-time data and analytics.

You will be involved in the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and monitoring — your role will include writing clean, efficient code, conducting code reviews, and mentoring junior engineers to foster a culture of continuous improvement. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving production issues, ensuring that our systems remain reliable and performant.
