Field Solutions Architect II, Google Cloud, Generative AI

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience, along with at least 6 years of experience in Python and relevant machine learning packages such as Keras and PyTorch. Your background includes applied AI, particularly in designing and evaluating systems around foundation models, which encompasses prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG). You are adept at orchestrating model interactions with external tools to deliver comprehensive solutions. Your experience extends to architecting, deploying, or managing solutions on a Cloud Platform, specifically Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

You may hold a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, and you have experience training and fine-tuning models in large-scale environments, including image, language, and recommendation systems. You are familiar with distributed training and optimizing performance versus costs, and you possess a strong ability to design systems, including data pipelines and ML pipelines, while focusing on solving customer problems. As a Field Solutions Architect, you thrive in a highly technical, customer-facing role, particularly in the realm of frontier AI and Generative AI.

Desirable

You have a proven track record of constructing prototype Generative AI applications tailored to diverse Google Cloud customers, ranging from early-stage startups to established enterprises. Your ability to influence Google Cloud strategy and product direction at the intersection of infrastructure and AI/ML is a key asset, as is your experience coordinating regional field enablement with leadership and collaborating closely with product and partner organizations.

What you'll do

In this pivotal role within the Google Cloud AI Go-To-Market organization, you will focus on Generative AI, working directly with customers to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions. You will construct prototypes and applications that leverage Generative AI technologies, ensuring they meet the specific requirements of your clientele. Your responsibilities will include advocating for enterprise customer requirements and influencing product direction based on customer feedback and market trends.

You will work cross-functionally with various teams, including product management and engineering, to ensure that the solutions you design are not only technically sound but also aligned with customer expectations. Your role will involve significant collaboration, requiring you to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

As part of your responsibilities, you will also coordinate regional field enablement efforts, ensuring that your team is equipped with the necessary knowledge and tools to succeed. You will travel as needed to engage with customers and partners, further solidifying Google Cloud's presence in the AI space.
