You are a highly motivated student currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field. You are eager to build the foundation of your software engineering career and are excited about the opportunity to write real software while collaborating with experienced engineers. You thrive in a supportive environment where mentorship is a key component of your growth. You are looking for a program that balances work and school, allowing you to succeed academically while gaining professional experience.
You have a passion for technology and a desire to solve complex technical challenges. While specific technical skills are not required, any experience with programming languages or software development concepts will be beneficial. You are open to learning and adapting to new technologies and methodologies as you progress through the program.
As a Junior Software Development Engineer in the Jr. Developer Program, you will be fully integrated into a team where you will contribute to impactful deliverables. You will write code and designs that help solve real-world problems at Amazon. Throughout the program, you will receive 1:1 mentorship from a full-time Amazonian who will guide you in your professional development. You will participate in bi-annual performance reviews that are designed to support your ongoing growth and development. The program offers flexible part-time schedules during the school year, allowing you to work 16 hours per week, and full-time employment over the summer, where you will work 40 hours per week. You will have the opportunity to connect with other students in the established Jr. community in Victoria, fostering meaningful relationships and networking opportunities.
