Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in platform engineering, particularly in building and maintaining scalable systems that support machine learning applications. Your background includes a strong understanding of backend engineering principles and a passion for creating developer-friendly tools. You treat platform as a product, focusing on user experience and developer satisfaction. Your hands-on experience with machine learning concepts and infrastructure is a significant asset, allowing you to bridge the gap between engineering and product needs. You excel in defining requirements and translating complex technical challenges into clear, actionable solutions. You are a collaborative team player who enjoys working with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and improve developer workflows.

Desirable

Experience with cloud platforms and infrastructure management is a plus, as is familiarity with CI/CD practices. You have a track record of building internal platforms that developers love, showcasing your ability to enhance developer experience through thoughtful design and implementation. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and are eager to tackle unique technical challenges at scale.

What you'll do

In this role, you will own the ML Platform as a product, setting direction and defining requirements from end to end. You will collaborate with various teams to understand their needs and translate them into durable APIs and user-friendly CLIs/UIs. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing scalable infrastructure that supports hundreds of use cases and billions of inferences daily. You will work closely with data scientists and engineers to ensure that the platform meets their needs for training, evaluating, deploying, and operating machine learning models. You will also be responsible for monitoring the performance of the platform and making iterative improvements based on user feedback and performance metrics. Your role will involve writing technical documentation and providing support to internal developers, ensuring they have the resources they need to succeed. You will contribute to the overall vision of Roblox by helping to create safer, more civil shared experiences for users around the world.
