Amazon is seeking a Transportation Area Manager to oversee yard operations at the Craigieburn Sort Center. You'll manage transportation processes and improve customer experience metrics. This role requires a background in transportation operations and strong program management skills.
You have a background in transportation operations and possess excellent program management skills. You thrive in challenging environments and have the ability to lead and mentor people effectively. Your analytical skills allow you to make sound recommendations in often ambiguous situations, and you are committed to standardizing and improving processes. Exceptional communication skills are essential, as you will need to influence change at both local and global levels.
As a Transportation Area Manager, you will manage yard operations in coordination with Dock, Receive, and Ship teams to ensure FIFO processing and mitigate risks to customer experience. You will create and drive a culture of safety and well-being within the team. Partnering with site leadership and transportation partners, you will work to improve the on-time arrival and departure performance of trucks in and out of the yard. Your role will involve communicating between multiple stakeholders to streamline the flow of trucks and reporting yard performance to local management.
