Meta is seeking a Lead Counsel for their AI Product team to provide strategic legal advice and risk mitigation. You'll work closely with product, engineering, and business teams to navigate complex legal issues. This role requires extensive legal expertise in a fast-paced environment.
You have a strong background in legal counsel, particularly in technology and product development — your experience allows you to navigate complex legal landscapes and provide sound advice to cross-functional teams. You understand the nuances of AI and its implications on product development, ensuring compliance and risk management are at the forefront of decision-making. You are adept at influencing product and business strategies through legal insights, and you thrive in collaborative environments where you can partner with engineers and product managers to address novel legal challenges. Your communication skills are exceptional, enabling you to articulate legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders effectively. You are proactive in identifying potential legal risks and are skilled at developing strategies to mitigate them.
In this role, you will provide strategic legal advice to Meta’s product, engineering, and business teams, ensuring that all products comply with applicable laws and regulations. You will partner cross-functionally to address complex legal issues that arise in the development and deployment of AI products. Your influence will extend to shaping product and business decisions at scale, as you work closely with various teams to integrate legal considerations into the product lifecycle. You will also be responsible for conducting legal research and analysis to support product initiatives, as well as developing and implementing policies and procedures that align with legal requirements. Your role will involve staying updated on emerging legal trends in AI and technology, allowing you to provide timely and relevant advice to the organization. You will mentor junior legal staff and contribute to building a strong legal team that supports Meta’s innovative goals.
