Overview

Google is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead complex projects in Data Analytics and Operations. You'll work with big data technologies and analytics tools like SQL and BigQuery. This role requires 5+ years of program management experience.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience, along with 5 years of experience in program management. Your background includes working with big data concepts and technologies, such as analytics warehousing, data transformation, and data governance. You are experienced in using data analytics tools like SQL, BigQuery, and R, as well as reporting platforms such as Tableau and Microstrategy. You have a solid understanding of relational database design and development, including SQL, MSSQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MySQL. Additionally, you possess knowledge in data networking architectures and physical network components, which enhances your ability to manage cross-functional projects effectively.

Desirable

You have a proven track record of managing cross-functional or cross-team projects, demonstrating your ability to coordinate efforts across various stakeholders. Your experience in data analytics, warehousing, and ETL development showcases your technical expertise in handling complex data applications. Familiarity with high-availability cloud-based software, particularly ESRI ArcGIS, is a plus, as is your ability to design and implement processes that increase operational effectiveness.

What you'll do

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you will lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You will collaborate with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your role will involve assisting teams with data management and translation, working with contractors on data entry management, and developing ETL procedures and workflows. You will also be responsible for aligning product and cross-organizational project priorities and schedules, ensuring that all teams are on the same page.

In this position, you will design and implement build processes that enhance operational effectiveness and drive automation initiatives. You will leverage your technical expertise to navigate challenges and ensure that projects are delivered on time and meet quality standards. Your ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders will be crucial in fostering collaboration and achieving project goals.

What we offer

At Google, you will be part of a team that values innovation and creativity. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement, as we believe diverse teams build better products. You will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your contributions will have a meaningful impact on the company's success. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, along with opportunities for professional growth and development within the organization.
