Senior DevOps Engineer

Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in DevOps engineering, with a strong focus on cloud infrastructure and automation. Your expertise spans both Kubernetes and OpenStack, allowing you to design and maintain robust platforms that support mission-critical workloads. You understand the importance of security and compliance, ensuring that the systems you manage are not only efficient but also secure.

You are proficient in GitOps methodologies, utilizing tools like ArgoCD and Terraform to automate deployments and manage infrastructure as code. Your experience with RBAC and network policies ensures that you can implement best practices for security and tenant isolation in multi-tenant environments. You thrive in collaborative settings, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

You are passionate about building scalable and observable systems, and you have a track record of optimizing performance in cloud environments. Your ability to bridge different ecosystems, such as Kubernetes and OpenStack, enables you to create hybrid solutions that enhance flexibility and resilience. Desirable

Experience with Rancher-managed Kubernetes environments is a plus, as is familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and monitoring tools. You may also have experience with other cloud platforms, which can further enhance your contributions to the team.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the design and maintenance of Kubernetes and OpenStack platforms, ensuring they are optimized for performance and security. You will be responsible for implementing GitOps-driven automation, utilizing tools like Fleet and Helm to streamline deployments. Your work will involve designing bare-metal clusters and ensuring they meet the needs of various stakeholders.

You will also focus on lifecycle automation for OpenStack, managing components such as Nova, Neutron, and Cinder to ensure high availability and performance. Your role will require you to collaborate with engineering teams to define how Five9 builds and runs these platforms, ensuring that best practices are followed across the board.

You will play a key role in enabling cross-platform integration, facilitating interoperability between Kubernetes and OpenStack environments. This will involve working on projects that enhance the resilience and scalability of the infrastructure, allowing the business to thrive in a competitive landscape.
