Overview

Amazon is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to support the stability and sustainability of AWS's next-generation networks. You'll work with AWS infrastructure and collaborate with internal and external teams. This role requires experience in large-scale network implementation and troubleshooting.

Job Description

Who you are

You have extensive experience as a Network Technician, ideally with 5+ years supporting large-scale, enterprise-class networks. Your background includes network implementation and troubleshooting, and you are comfortable working in a collaborative environment with regular peer and customer interaction. You understand the importance of establishing and following best practices and refining operational procedures to ensure network stability and sustainability.

You are skilled in leveraging your technical expertise to drive innovative solutions for network automation and scaling. Your experience with AWS infrastructure services allows you to effectively manage and support the vast network infrastructure that keeps the cloud running smoothly. You are proactive in your approach and enjoy working closely with both internal customers and external vendors to facilitate project execution.

Desirable

Experience with capacity management and scaling support in data center environments is a plus. Familiarity with network monitoring tools and best practices will enhance your ability to contribute to the team. What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for driving the stability and sustainability of AWS's next-generation networks. You will assist in the development of innovative ways to automate and scale the network, ensuring that capacity management is handled effectively across several data center locations. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include collaborating with Network Scaling Leadership and Technical Program Managers to facilitate smooth project execution.

You will provide management and support for AWS's vast network infrastructure, working on the most challenging problems that impact the supply chain. Your role will require you to establish and follow best practices while refining operational procedures to enhance network performance. You will also be involved in troubleshooting network issues and implementing solutions that improve overall network reliability.
