Job Description

Join Amazon's Global Retail Systems Development team as a Software Engineer in our Competitive Monitoring division. You'll drive technological innovation by solving challenges in crawling, large-scale computing, distributed systems, web applications, data mining, scalability, security, and algorithms. Our team develops solutions that directly impact Amazon's competitive edge in the global marketplace.

We're building next-generation systems using state-of-the-art computer science and advanced information retrieval techniques. Your work will focus on creating real-time, scalable solutions that power competitive data analysis for one of the world's largest online retailers. You'll develop robust systems and intuitive Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) that adhere to the highest standards of usability, accessibility, security, and performance.

Based in Bangalore, you'll join a new team dedicated to strengthening and innovating competitive data collection methods that enhance shopping decisions. You'll collaborate with talented engineers across our global offices in Chennai, India, and Seattle, US, contributing to solutions that operate at massive scale.

Your role involves architecting and implementing systems that process vast amounts of data to deliver actionable insights. You'll build user interfaces and APIs that set new standards for performance and accessibility while maintaining robust security measures. This position offers an opportunity to shape the future of competitive monitoring at Amazon while working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 3+ years of Video Games Industry (supporting title Development, Release, or Live Ops) experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
