Amazon is hiring an Engineering Operations Technician to maintain mission-critical technology infrastructure. You'll work with electrical and mechanical systems to ensure 99.999% uptime. This role requires hands-on troubleshooting skills and knowledge of data center operations.
You are an Engineering Technician with a strong foundation in electrical and mechanical systems, ready to tackle the challenges of maintaining mission-critical technology infrastructure. You have hands-on experience troubleshooting complex equipment and systems, ensuring seamless operations that power global digital experiences. Your expertise in electrical systems, including three-phase electrical systems, UPSs, and generators, makes you a critical guardian of our technological infrastructure. You thrive in a collaborative environment, working alongside a diverse team of engineers and specialists to support AWS data centers.
Experience with data center operations and a passion for technology will set you apart. Familiarity with cooling systems, pumps, and motors is a plus, as is a proactive approach to problem-solving. You understand the importance of uptime and are committed to maintaining the highest standards in operational excellence.
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting various systems within our data centers, including stand-by diesel generators, cooling towers, and air handlers. You will work closely with your team to ensure that all equipment operates efficiently and effectively, contributing to our goal of achieving 99.999% uptime. Your day-to-day tasks will involve hands-on work with electrical and mechanical equipment, performing routine inspections, and addressing any issues that arise promptly.
You will also collaborate with other technicians and engineers to implement improvements and optimize operations. Your role will require you to stay updated on the latest technologies and best practices in data center management, ensuring that you can contribute to innovative solutions that enhance our infrastructure.
