Overview

Convene is seeking a Service Manager to lead the opening and operations of their new venue in SoHo, New York. You'll be responsible for delivering a premium hospitality experience and managing conference and amenity services. This role requires experience in hospitality management.

You have a strong background in hospitality management, with experience in overseeing service operations and ensuring a premium guest experience. You understand the importance of creating inspiring moments of connection and have a passion for delivering exceptional service. Your leadership skills enable you to motivate and guide your team to achieve operational excellence. You are detail-oriented and thrive in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that every aspect of service meets the highest standards. You are committed to fostering a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for both guests and team members.

Desirable

Experience in managing large venues or events is a plus, as is familiarity with the latest trends in hospitality and guest services. You may have a background in event planning or customer service, which enhances your ability to anticipate guest needs and deliver tailored experiences. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a knack for creative thinking will set you apart in this role.

What you'll do

As the Service Manager, you will spearhead the opening of Convene 555 Broadway, ensuring that all services are operational and aligned with the company's values. You will establish and drive the success of conference, workplace, and amenity services, creating a seamless experience for guests from day one. Your role will involve collaborating closely with the General Manager and other team members to develop service protocols and training programs that uphold the highest standards of hospitality. You will oversee daily operations, ensuring that all team members are equipped to deliver exceptional service and that guest feedback is actively sought and addressed.

You will also be responsible for managing the logistics of events, coordinating with various departments to ensure that all aspects of service are executed flawlessly. This includes overseeing in-house catering, AV technology, and other amenities that enhance the guest experience. You will monitor service quality and implement improvements as needed, fostering a culture of continuous enhancement within your team. Your leadership will be crucial in creating a positive work environment where team members feel valued and empowered to contribute to the success of the venue.
