Staff Infrastructure Engineer

Who you are

You have a strong background in infrastructure engineering, with at least 5 years of experience designing and building scalable systems. Your expertise includes working with cloud environments, particularly AWS, and you are comfortable with both cloud and on-premise solutions. You have a solid understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes, which you have used to deploy and manage applications effectively. Your experience with Linux systems is extensive, allowing you to troubleshoot and optimize performance in various environments. You are a collaborative team player who thrives in a mission-driven culture, eager to contribute to innovative projects that push the boundaries of technology.

Desirable

Experience with video processing or AI technologies is a plus, as is familiarity with CI/CD practices and tools. You are also open to learning new technologies and methodologies that can enhance the infrastructure team's capabilities. You understand the importance of security in infrastructure design and are proactive in implementing best practices to safeguard systems.

What you'll do

As a Staff Infrastructure Engineer at TwelveLabs, you will be responsible for designing and building the core infrastructure that supports our cutting-edge AI SaaS platform. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our systems are stable, scalable, and capable of handling large volumes of data, particularly in the context of video AI applications. Your role will involve developing robust system architectures that can adapt to the evolving needs of the business and our users. You will also be tasked with optimizing existing infrastructure to improve performance and reduce costs, ensuring that our systems are efficient and reliable.

You will lead initiatives to implement best practices in infrastructure management, including automation and monitoring, to enhance operational efficiency. Collaborating with software engineers, you will help define the infrastructure requirements for new features and ensure that they are integrated seamlessly into our platform. You will also mentor junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and expertise to help them grow in their roles.
