Apple is seeking a SoC Physical Design Engineer to drive electrical analysis and verification of SoCs. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams and utilize your knowledge of circuit design and low power techniques. This role requires a minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience.
You have a minimum of a BS degree and 3+ years of relevant industry experience in electrical analysis and verification. Your knowledge of computer architecture and circuit design is complemented by your understanding of low power techniques, making you a valuable asset to the team. You are familiar with ASIC or AMS physical implementation and analysis flow, and you possess scripting skills to automate and debug verification flows for digital designs. Your experience with SPICE further enhances your capability in this role.
Experience with CAD tools and technology teams for flow bring-up and validation is a plus. You thrive in collaborative environments and are eager to work closely with implementation teams throughout the entire chip design cycle. Your ability to handle schedules and support cross-functional engineering efforts will contribute to the success of the projects you work on.
As a Physical Electrical Analysis Engineer on the SoC team, you will be responsible for driving the electrical analysis and verification of an SoC. This includes performing various electrical analyses at the block or chip level, such as Static/Dynamic IR, EM, Noise, and Signal EM. You will collaborate with the CAD/technology teams to ensure successful flow bring-up and validation. Throughout the chip design cycle, you will work closely with the implementation team to drive sign-off closure for tape-out, ensuring that all aspects of the design meet the required specifications.
You will also be involved in handling schedules and supporting cross-functional engineering efforts, which will require strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring that the designs are not only innovative but also reliable and efficient.
