Affirm is seeking a Mid-Level Backend Engineer to join their Credit Decisioning team. You'll develop new underwriting features and collaborate with cross-functional partners to enhance credit access. This role requires proficiency in Java and Spring.
You have a solid background in backend engineering, with experience in building scalable systems that support critical business functions. You are proficient in Java and Spring, and you understand the intricacies of REST APIs and how they integrate with various services. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with product management, design, and analytics teams to ensure that technical constraints are considered in the product development lifecycle. You are detail-oriented and can break down complex projects into manageable tasks, ensuring timely delivery while maintaining high-quality standards. You are also comfortable navigating risks and trade-offs, making informed decisions that align with business goals. You are eager to contribute to a team that values innovation and responsible credit access, and you are open to mentoring peers and sharing knowledge.
In this role, you will be a key player in the Credit Decisioning team, focusing on developing new underwriting features that enhance the user experience and expand access to credit.
