Who you are

You have over 7 years of experience in iOS development using Swift and Objective-C, demonstrating a deep understanding of the iOS ecosystem. Your expertise includes a solid grasp of iOS internal structures, UIKit, SwiftUI, concurrency, networking, and persistent storage. You are well-versed in optimizing app performance, including CPU/GPU usage, memory management, and startup speed, ensuring a seamless user experience. You possess practical experience with App Store distribution, build pipelines, and automated testing, which allows you to navigate the complexities of iOS app deployment effectively. Familiarity with instrumentation tools, analytics, and crash reporting platforms is second nature to you, enabling you to monitor and enhance app performance continuously. Your background includes developing large-scale consumer applications, showcasing your ability to handle significant user loads and complex functionalities.

Desirable

Experience with tvOS development or familiarity with the broader iOS ecosystem, including macOS, is a plus. You have a keen interest in platform engineering and SDK development, which aligns with the innovative spirit of Coupang Play. Your collaborative nature allows you to work effectively with cross-functional teams, ensuring that app releases are smooth and compliant with App Store policies and security requirements.

What you'll do

In this role, you will design, build, and maintain core iOS platform frameworks, libraries, and shared components that are utilized across multiple teams. You will lead initiatives aimed at improving app performance, startup speed, and memory usage, driving architectural modernization efforts that focus on modularization, dependency management, and scalable design patterns. Your responsibilities will also include developing and enhancing tools that improve developer productivity, such as CI/CD improvements, build time optimization, and testing frameworks. You will implement and maintain observability tooling, including logging metrics, crash notifications, and real-time monitoring, ensuring that the app remains robust and user-friendly. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will guarantee seamless app releases while adhering to App Store policies and industry best practices. You will also support globalization efforts, including localization and configuration systems, to enhance the app's accessibility to a wider audience. Conducting design and code reviews will be part of your routine, as you guide best practices in iOS development across the organization.
