Overview

Google is seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects in the energy sector. You'll leverage your expertise in quantitative modeling and program management to drive portfolio management and risk analysis. This role requires a Bachelor's degree and 2 years of relevant experience.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Economics, or Finance, or equivalent practical experience. With at least 2 years of experience in program management, you have a solid foundation in leading projects and coordinating with diverse teams. Your experience in quantitative modeling within the energy industry, along with portfolio management and risk management, sets you apart. You are proficient in Python programming, which you have used to perform quantitative analysis and develop innovative solutions. You possess excellent cross-functional collaboration skills, allowing you to work effectively with both energy experts and non-experts alike. You understand that a problem isn’t truly solved until it’s addressed for all stakeholders involved.

Desirable

A Master's degree in a related quantitative field is preferred, as is experience with wholesale electricity markets and structuring in multiple regions. Familiarity with applied and financial mathematics concepts and techniques, including statistical techniques, will enhance your ability to succeed in this role.

What you'll do

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you will lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You will work closely with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your role will involve identifying new structuring opportunities while incorporating quantitative analysis to support portfolio management transactions. You will evaluate investment opportunities and assist in the negotiation of transaction provisions and structuring. Your ability to assess and translate competition, industry trends, emerging challenges, and changes in the marketplace into effective structuring strategies will be crucial. You will develop innovative solutions that improve the way the portfolio is managed while achieving portfolio objectives.
