SpaceX is hiring a Supply Chain Engineer for the Starshield program to manage PCBA processes and ensure continuity of supply for electronic products. You'll collaborate with design engineers and support procurement efforts, requiring skills in Altium Designer, AutoCAD, and Embedded Linux.
You have a strong background in supply chain management, particularly in the context of electronic products and PCBA processes. Your experience includes collaborating with design engineers to understand product specifications and ensuring that all components meet the necessary technical requirements. You are adept at assessing supplier capabilities and implementing quality control measures to maintain high standards in production. You possess a keen understanding of the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and have successfully navigated supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery of components. Your technical skills include proficiency in tools such as Altium Designer and AutoCAD, which you use to support design and manufacturing processes. You are detail-oriented and have a proven track record of managing complex supply chains effectively.
In this role, you will own and manage the PCBA processes for the Starshield supply chain, ensuring that all electronic products are delivered on time and meet quality standards. You will collaborate closely with design engineers to gain a deep understanding of the design intent behind each component, which will inform your procurement strategies. Your responsibilities will include supporting the procurement team in sourcing parts that align with supplier competencies, as well as creating and defining technical requirements for suppliers. You will implement and monitor the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) to facilitate smooth production rates and ensure that all suppliers meet the necessary technical specifications. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining continuity of supply, which is critical for meeting program-level volume targets. Your role will require you to engage with various stakeholders, including engineering and procurement teams, to drive successful outcomes for the Starshield program.
