Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience and at least 6 years of experience in UX writing, content design, or technical writing. Your portfolio showcases your ability to create useful and meaningful text that enhances user experiences across various platforms. You have a strong background in leading content strategy projects and collaborating with cross-functional partners, including designers, researchers, product managers, and engineers. You are adept at managing stakeholders to align on content direction and have experience developing information architecture for complex documentation sets. Your expertise includes localization and accessibility best practices, ensuring that content meets diverse user needs.

You have a proven track record of designing UX content for enterprise products and experiences, utilizing service design principles to align content strategy with user needs and business processes. Your writing not only simplifies but also beautifies the overall user experience, making you an advocate for effective communication within Google’s design framework. You are comfortable interacting with executive leadership and have experience in agency settings, which has honed your ability to navigate complex content challenges.

Desirable

You have additional experience in editorial and marketing roles, which complements your UX writing skills. Your understanding of Cloud technologies and user journeys allows you to create content that resonates with customers and meets business goals. You are familiar with the competitive landscape and can maintain an understanding of industry trends to ensure that your content strategies are innovative and effective.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for producing high-quality deliverables, including UI text, CLI/API language, AI prompts, and interactive prototypes. You will work closely with various teams to oversee the delivery of products, ensuring that content aligns with user needs and enhances the overall product experience. Your role will involve setting the vision for content and driving cohesive product narratives across multiple platforms and touchpoints. You will advocate for Google design principles, shaping product experiences through your writing.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to produce and communicate content that meets the needs of users while also aligning with business objectives. Your work will involve maintaining an understanding of user journeys and the competitive landscape, allowing you to create content experiences that are both engaging and effective. You will also be tasked with overseeing the delivery of products, ensuring that all content is of the highest quality and meets Google's standards.
