Amazon is hiring a Data Center Technician to maintain and support cutting-edge data center infrastructure. You'll work with hardware troubleshooting and collaborate with cross-functional teams. This role requires hands-on hardware experience.
You have hands-on hardware experience and are eager to work in a fast-paced environment. You understand the importance of maintaining data center infrastructure and are comfortable troubleshooting hardware issues. You thrive in a team setting and can effectively communicate with both internal and external customers. You are detail-oriented and committed to adhering to security and safety best practices in the data center. You are willing to participate in shift-based work and are flexible with your schedule to meet operational needs.
Experience with cloud technologies and familiarity with data center operations would be beneficial. A background in IT support or systems administration is a plus, as is knowledge of networking concepts. You are proactive in identifying process improvements and enjoy creating documentation that can be used globally.
As a Data Center Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the data center infrastructure. You will serve as the first line of contact for hardware troubleshooting and technical issues, ensuring that all assigned trouble tickets are addressed promptly. You will perform regular server hardware repairs, including drives and motherboards, and carry out routine network and operating system-related repairs. You will engage with cross-functional teams regularly to complete routine work and participate in data center power and cooling events. Additionally, you will contribute to team meetings focused on metric analysis and goal achievement, helping to identify and create documentation for global use.
