Amazon is hiring an IT Support Engineer I to implement technical solutions and provide high-quality support for computer hardware and software. You'll work with Linux, Windows, and networking systems in Robbinsville, New Jersey.
As an IT Support Engineer I, you have a foundational understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, and enterprise application software. You are skilled in troubleshooting straightforward problems and can determine when to deviate from standard practices to achieve desired results. Your ability to communicate effectively with management and staff allows you to provide analytical and technical assistance for continuous improvement of IT solutions. You are comfortable managing local technical projects and maintaining or creating policies, procedures, and processes. You are physically capable of moving equipment up to 49lbs and can stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours.
Experience with network engineering and troubleshooting, data cabling, and systems administration in various software and hardware environments is a plus. Familiarity with infrastructure networking and computing systems is also beneficial.
In this role, you will implement technical solutions and provide high-quality support across multiple sites in a defined geographical area. Your responsibilities will include ensuring that infrastructure networking and computing systems remain available during production hours. You will interact with management and staff to identify root causes of operational issues and process inefficiencies, contributing to the continuous improvement of IT solutions. You will also manage local technical projects, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
