Who you are

You have a solid background in software engineering, with experience in building scalable and secure cloud solutions. Your expertise in C# and .NET Core allows you to write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that supports Azure security services. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with senior engineers and product managers to design and implement reliable components. You are familiar with monitoring systems and responding to alerts, ensuring service health in a 24x7 operational context. Your problem-solving skills enable you to diagnose issues effectively by reviewing logs and telemetry, applying debugging tools to resolve complex problems. You understand the importance of following coding standards and operational guidelines to maintain high-quality software. You are committed to continuous learning and growth, eager to tackle new challenges in a fast-paced, agile setting.

Desirable

Experience with cloud-native security solutions and a passion for enhancing security in sovereign cloud environments would be a plus. Familiarity with agile methodologies and a proactive approach to collaboration will help you succeed in this role.

What you'll do

As a Software Engineer II on the Sovereign Cloud Security Health team, you will play a crucial role in securing Microsoft’s cloud infrastructure. You will write and maintain code for features and services that power scanning, monitoring, alerting, and detection at scale. Collaborating with Azure Security engineering teams, you will design and implement scalable components that meet the needs of internal stakeholders. You will support the health of services by actively monitoring systems, responding to alerts, and participating in on-call rotations. Your responsibilities will include diagnosing issues by reviewing logs and telemetry, applying debugging tools to resolve problems efficiently. You will adhere to coding standards and testing strategies, ensuring that your contributions align with operational guidelines. Your work will directly impact the resilience and security of Microsoft’s cloud offerings, empowering organizations to achieve more through secure cloud solutions.
