The Exploration Company is seeking a Mission Analysis Intern to support the early-phase activities of their Future Systems team. You'll work on mission design for lunar lander projects, requiring a strong understanding of classical dynamics and programming skills in Python.
You are currently enrolled in or have recently completed a university-level program (Masters) in an engineering or scientific discipline. You possess a strong understanding of classical dynamics, orbital, and flight mechanics, which will be essential for the mission design tasks you will undertake. Your affinity toward optimization problems will help you excel in this role, as you will be proposing and designing orbital and landing trajectories for lunar missions.
Your experience with computer programming, especially with Python, will be crucial as you work to improve the robustness, automation, and fidelity of mission design tools. You have strong verbal and written communication skills, allowing you to document and communicate technical design choices and results clearly. Additionally, your strong analysis and problem-solving skills will enable you to perform mission design trade-offs effectively.
You are organized and capable of prioritizing tasks, which will help you manage the evolving responsibilities of the internship. Full professional proficiency in English is required, and elementary proficiency in German and French is considered an asset, enhancing your ability to communicate in a diverse environment.
As a Mission Analysis Intern, you will support the early-phase activities of the Future Systems team at The Exploration Company.
