What you'll do

As a Staff Full Stack Engineer at Allica Bank, you will be responsible for setting the technical direction across multiple squads, typically overseeing 2–3 squads and line-managing 3–5 Full Stack Engineers. You will shape the architecture of our digital products, ensuring they are robust, secure, and compliant with industry standards. Your role will involve defining and evolving cross-squad patterns and shared tooling, which will enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our engineering teams. You will be hands-on in designing and reviewing architectures, pairing with engineers, and contributing code to high-impact initiatives. You will also own key cross-cutting concerns such as authentication, observability, performance, accessibility, and regulatory compliance, ensuring our systems meet the standards expected of a UK bank. Your leadership will be crucial in driving consistent delivery across our digital products, and you will work closely with product managers and other stakeholders to align technical efforts with business goals.
