Amazon is hiring an Engineering Technician to maintain and troubleshoot mission-critical technology infrastructure in Sparks, Nevada. You'll work with electrical and mechanical systems to ensure 99.999% uptime. This position requires hands-on experience with data center operations.
You are an Engineering Technician with a strong foundation in electrical and mechanical systems — you understand the intricacies of maintaining mission-critical technology infrastructure and have hands-on experience troubleshooting complex equipment. Your expertise in electrical systems, including three-phase electrical systems, switch gear, and UPSs, allows you to ensure seamless operations in a data center environment. You are familiar with diesel generators and related fuel systems, and you have a keen eye for detail when it comes to maintaining operational efficiency.

As an Engineering Technician at Amazon, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the heartbeat of our data center operations — your responsibilities will include troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance. You will work with a variety of systems, including power distribution units (PDUs), wet cell batteries, and air handlers, to maintain the infrastructure that supports our global digital experiences.
You will be responsible for conducting routine maintenance checks and responding to any operational issues that may arise — your hands-on approach will help you identify and resolve problems quickly, contributing to our goal of achieving 99.999% uptime. You will collaborate closely with other technicians and engineers to ensure that all systems are functioning correctly and efficiently.
