Senior Software Engineer (Web)

Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, particularly in web development, and you are passionate about building user-centric applications that provide real-time financial flexibility. Your expertise spans both frontend and backend technologies, allowing you to contribute effectively across the stack. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. You are resourceful and can break down complex problems into manageable components, translating them into elegant designs and maintainable code.

You have a strong foundation in JavaScript and are proficient in frameworks such as React and Node.js. Your experience includes implementing responsive web applications and optimizing them for performance and scalability. You understand the importance of writing clean, testable code and are familiar with best practices in software development, including version control and continuous integration.

You are a proactive communicator, able to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate effectively with product managers and designers. You are committed to continuous learning and development, always seeking to improve your skills and stay updated with industry trends. Desirable

Experience with cloud services such as AWS or Azure would be a plus, as well as familiarity with agile methodologies. If you have worked in fintech or have a background in financial services, that would be advantageous but not required.

What you'll do

In this role, you will drive the implementation of new features for Earnin's web applications, working closely with product managers and designers to understand user needs and translate them into functional requirements. You will be responsible for designing and developing high-quality, maintainable code that meets the needs of our users. Your work will involve breaking down complex problems into their essential components and creating elegant solutions that enhance the user experience.

You will collaborate with other engineers on the team to ensure that best practices are followed in code quality, testing, and deployment. You will participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to your peers and helping to maintain a high standard of code quality across the team. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and helping them grow in their careers.

As part of a hybrid team based in Bangkok, you will also have the flexibility to work remotely when needed. You will engage in regular team meetings and contribute to the overall success of the engineering team by sharing insights and collaborating on projects. Your contributions will directly impact the growth and success of Earnin as we continue to innovate and improve our products.
