SpaceX is seeking a Global Immigration & Compliance Manager to oversee international employment compliance and immigration processes. This role requires expertise in managing visa applications and ensuring compliance with local labor laws.
You have a strong background in immigration and compliance management, with at least 5 years of experience in overseeing international employment regulations. You understand the complexities of visa applications and have successfully managed immigration documentation for employees across multiple jurisdictions. Your experience includes developing and implementing mobility policies that facilitate employee transfers and remote work arrangements. You are detail-oriented and have a proven track record of ensuring compliance with legal, tax, and employment regulations. You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to effectively liaise with government agencies and local authorities. You are proactive in conducting HR compliance audits and have experience partnering with external immigration counsel to navigate local labor laws.
In this role, you will manage all aspects of global mobility and immigration for SpaceX, ensuring that visa applications and immigration documentation are processed efficiently for employees working in the U.S., India, Brazil, Singapore, and Ireland. You will develop and implement comprehensive mobility policies that cover short-term assignments, long-term transfers, and remote work, ensuring that all legal requirements are met. You will track and report on global mobility data, including visa status and work authorization, to provide insights into employee mobility trends. Additionally, you will partner with external immigration counsel and PEOs to ensure compliance with local labor laws and statutory reporting requirements in all jurisdictions. Conducting HR compliance audits in collaboration with local counsel will be a key responsibility, as will liaising with Finance, Tax, and Legal teams to maintain compliant employment structures and payroll requirements. You will serve as the main point of contact for government agencies and local authorities, ensuring that SpaceX remains compliant with all regulations.
