You are an MS or PhD student with a strong interest in autonomous driving technology and machine learning. You have a foundational understanding of reinforcement learning and are eager to apply your knowledge in a practical setting. What you'll do

As a Summer Intern at Waymo, you will design and implement experiments for post-training of large behavior models. You will evaluate and iterate on the model within a closed-loop simulation environment to rigorously assess its performance and identify failure modes. You will leverage modern reinforcement learning techniques to improve the Waymo Driver's onboard performance in real-world scenarios. Your work will contribute to the mission of scaling the production Waymo Driver and enhancing mobility solutions.
