Microsoft is hiring a Principal Software Engineer for the Azure Kubernetes Service team to advance container management and orchestration services. You'll work with Azure and Kubernetes to improve service quality and development velocity. This role requires 6+ years of technical engineering experience.
You have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and over 6 years of technical engineering experience. Your expertise includes coding in languages relevant to cloud-native infrastructure, particularly with a focus on Azure and Kubernetes. You are excited about containers and container orchestration, and you have a passion for building DevOps tools that simplify the software development lifecycle on the Azure cloud.
You possess a strong understanding of cloud-native infrastructure and are adept at improving the quality of service for cloud applications. Your experience has equipped you with the skills to balance pragmatism with vision, ensuring that continuous improvements are made to both processes and codebases. You are proactive in building automation to prevent service problems from escalating into production incidents.
You thrive in collaborative environments and are committed to fostering a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive. You understand the importance of working together with a growth mindset and are eager to innovate to empower others.
