You'll leverage your technical expertise in networking and project management to ensure successful delivery of customer solutions. This role requires 5+ years of experience in program management and a strong background in network technologies.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience, along with at least 5 years of experience in program management. Your background includes delivering network technologies in enterprise offices, data centers, or ISP/Telco programs, and you have experience in customer-facing roles within the technology industry, particularly in networking and cloud solutions. You are comfortable managing cross-functional projects and have a strong understanding of network infrastructure, design, and architecture. Your qualifications may include certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or Agile project management certification, which demonstrate your commitment to excellence in project management.

You thrive in environments where you can utilize your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You are adept at planning requirements, identifying risks, managing project schedules, and communicating effectively with cross-functional partners across the company. You possess the ability to explain technical analyses and recommendations to executives while also discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers. Your problem-solving skills are top-notch, and you believe that a problem isn’t truly solved until it’s resolved for all stakeholders involved.

Desirable

You have experience with physical deployment and troubleshooting of networking infrastructure, which adds to your ability to manage projects effectively. Your familiarity with customer insights allows you to translate these into actionable recommendations for enterprise product and service enhancements, ensuring that the solutions you deliver meet the most important business needs.

What you'll do

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you will play a key role in ensuring that our networks meet critical business needs. You will lead the planning and execution of projects, collaborating with stakeholders to develop reports that track project scope, schedule, budget, risks, and overall status. Your role will involve identifying and mitigating risks to ensure successful execution of customer engagements, and you will be responsible for managing, tracking, and controlling project issues to ensure timely delivery. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that all aspects of the project are aligned and that the final deliverables meet the high standards expected by Google and its customers.

You will also be tasked with developing strategies to enhance customer engagement and satisfaction, leveraging your insights to drive improvements in enterprise products and services. Your ability to communicate clearly and effectively will be crucial as you navigate complex project dynamics and ensure that all team members are aligned on goals and expectations. You will have the opportunity to mentor junior team members, sharing your knowledge and expertise to help them grow in their roles.

What we offer

At Google, you will be part of a team that is dedicated to building products that create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. We offer a collaborative work environment where innovation is encouraged, and you will have the chance to work on projects that have a significant impact on our customers and the industry. Our commitment to professional development means that you will have access to resources and training to help you advance your career. We believe in fostering a culture of inclusivity and support, ensuring that all team members feel valued and empowered to contribute their best work.
