Overview

Amazon is seeking an Energy Portfolio Manager to manage and optimize their global data center energy portfolio. You'll be responsible for developing portfolio management strategies and analyzing market trends. This role requires experience in energy portfolio management and a strong analytical skill set.

Who you are

You have a strong background in energy portfolio management, with experience in managing energy contracts and strategies that maximize asset performance. Your understanding of wholesale energy markets, both in the US and globally, allows you to navigate complex procurement landscapes effectively. You possess analytical skills that enable you to formulate and execute plans that drive results. Your experience in renewable energy procurement and large load energy supply strategies equips you to make informed decisions that impact the organization's energy strategy.

You are adept at creating and monitoring financial and risk metrics, ensuring that controllership is instilled in connection with energy risk management policies. Your expertise in conducting tariff research supports the structuring and negotiation of power contracts across various global regions. You are skilled at measuring, analyzing, and reporting on portfolio performance, identifying risks and opportunities that inform energy supply and procurement strategies.

Desirable

Experience with power optimization algorithms and financial performance forecasting is a plus. You have a knack for building financial and valuation models that support strategic decision-making. Your ability to communicate complex market insights clearly and effectively makes you a valuable asset to any team.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the development and implementation of portfolio management strategies that balance risk and financial performance. You will create and monitor key financial and risk metrics, ensuring compliance with energy risk management policies. Your market subject matter expertise will be crucial in conducting tariff research to support negotiations of power contracts in new and existing global regions.

You will measure, analyze, and report on portfolio performance, identifying risks and opportunities within the operating and procurement portfolio. Your insights will inform energy supply and procurement strategies, leveraging your knowledge of energy market trends and forecasts. You will also support the development of power optimization algorithms and contribute to the forecasting of financial performance.
