Overview

Tanium is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer to help large organizations achieve visibility and control over complex environments. You'll work closely with sales and customer success teams to deliver technical solutions and conduct platform demonstrations. This role requires strong technical skills and the ability to engage with various stakeholders.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong background in solution engineering, with a knack for understanding customer needs and translating them into effective technical solutions. Your experience includes engaging with both technical and non-technical audiences, ensuring that you can communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with sales and customer success teams to drive customer satisfaction and success.

You possess excellent analytical skills, allowing you to assess customer technology and architecture to identify their operational and business needs. Your ability to lead technical discussions and provide comprehensive demonstrations of solutions is a key strength, enabling you to position Tanium’s platform effectively to various stakeholders, including C-level executives.

Your technical expertise is complemented by your interpersonal skills, making you a trusted advisor to customers as you guide them through the technology evaluation stage of the sales cycle. You are proactive in your approach, always looking for ways to improve processes and outcomes for both the customer and your team.

Desirable

Experience in pre-sales engineering or a similar role is a plus, as is familiarity with enterprise operations and security platforms. A background in working with large organizations and understanding their unique challenges will help you excel in this position.

What you'll do

In this role, you will work directly with Tanium's sales team from initial discovery through to deal closure, aiming to shorten sales cycles and improve closing rates. You will oversee and participate in initial discovery meetings with customers, providing platform demonstrations and engaging in highly technical Proof of Value (POV) engagements for both existing customers and new sales opportunities. Your role will involve translating customer business challenges into tailored technical solutions that meet their needs.

You will lead deep-dive technical discussions with customers, positioning Tanium’s transformative enterprise operations and security platform to relevant stakeholders. Your ability to engage with customers at various levels will be crucial as you help them understand the value of Tanium’s solutions.

You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that customer feedback is incorporated into product development and enhancements. Your insights will help shape the future of Tanium’s offerings, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of customers.
