Overview

Woven by Toyota is seeking a Physical Security Manager to develop and oversee the organization's physical security program. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the safety and security of personnel and facilities in Palo Alto.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong operational awareness and experience in security operations or GSOC environments — you understand the nuances of managing security in a corporate setting and can navigate fast-moving situations with sound judgment. Your background equips you to support the development and implementation of a comprehensive physical security program that safeguards personnel, facilities, and assets across multiple locations.

You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to work closely with cross-functional partners across various regions — your ability to collaborate effectively ensures that security measures are integrated seamlessly into workplace operations. You are proactive in identifying potential security risks and implementing strategies to mitigate them, fostering a culture of safety within the organization.

Your experience includes overseeing security operations and managing teams, which has honed your leadership skills — you are adept at guiding teams through complex security challenges and ensuring that all personnel are trained and prepared for any situation. You are committed to continuous improvement and staying updated on the latest security technologies and best practices.

You thrive in environments that require a balance of strategic planning and hands-on execution — your ability to assess risks and develop actionable plans makes you a valuable asset to the Corporate Real Estate & Workplace Services (CREWS) team. You are passionate about creating a safe and secure environment for all employees and stakeholders.

Desirable

Experience in physical security management within a corporate setting is a plus — familiarity with industry standards and regulations will enhance your effectiveness in this role. A background in emergency response planning or crisis management will also be beneficial as you work to ensure the safety of personnel and assets.

What you'll do

As the Physical Security Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the organization’s physical security program — this includes conducting risk assessments, developing security policies, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. You will collaborate with various teams to ensure that security measures are effectively integrated into workplace operations, enhancing the overall safety of the organization.

You will lead initiatives to improve security awareness among employees, providing training and resources to ensure that everyone understands their role in maintaining a secure environment. Your role will also involve monitoring security systems and protocols, ensuring that they are functioning effectively and addressing any issues that arise promptly.

In addition, you will work closely with the Regional US/UK CREWS Manager to align security strategies with organizational goals — your insights will help shape the direction of the physical security program and ensure that it meets the evolving needs of the company. You will also be responsible for managing relationships with external security vendors and service providers, ensuring that they meet the organization’s standards and expectations.

You will play a key role in incident response planning and execution, coordinating with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed — your ability to remain calm under pressure will be crucial in these situations. You will also be involved in the continuous evaluation and improvement of security measures, adapting to new threats and challenges as they arise.

What we offer

Woven by Toyota offers a dynamic work environment where you can contribute to a transformative mission in the mobility sector. You will be part of a team that values innovation and collaboration, working towards a common goal of enhancing safety and well-being for all. The organization provides opportunities for professional growth and development, encouraging you to expand your skills and knowledge in the field of security management.

You will have access to resources and support to help you succeed in your role, including training programs and professional development opportunities. The company fosters a culture of inclusivity and teamwork, where your contributions are recognized and valued. Join us in shaping the future of mobility while ensuring a safe and secure environment for all.
