SpaceX is seeking a Counsel for Energy and Commodities Transactions to lead negotiations and close agreements related to industrial gas supply. This role requires expertise in drafting contracts and coordinating with regulatory teams.
You have a strong background in legal counsel, particularly in energy and commodities transactions, with experience in negotiating and closing agreements involving industrial gas supply. You are adept at drafting and advising on various contracts, including purchase and sale agreements, capacity use agreements, and utility service agreements. Your ability to coordinate with regulatory and compliance teams ensures that all federal and state approvals are met, particularly in relation to commodity flows and infrastructure deployment. You thrive in collaborative environments, partnering with engineering, procurement, operations, and finance teams to align commercial and legal positions effectively.
In this role, you will lead negotiations and close agreements involving the supply of industrial gases such as nitrogen, oxygen, and methane. You will support upstream and midstream deal structures, including pipeline development and storage agreements. Your responsibilities will include drafting and advising on various contracts and coordinating with regulatory teams to secure necessary approvals. You will also partner with cross-functional teams to ensure that commercial and legal positions align with operational needs, particularly as they relate to the launch cadence of SpaceX's Starship program.
